Shop Talk Fall 2011

Where we’ve been and where we’re heading.

From it’s humble beginnings in 2002, Total Design Shop has forged quality client relationships that have spurred growth. Revenues experienced a 21% increase over the last 5 years, and sales are currently on track to have another record year.

We’ve never been good at sitting still. With the ever changing digital landscape, we are dedicated to staying on top of current and emerging trends and technology.

Our goal is to better serve our customer’s needs and to help them achieve their business and marketing objectives. To that end, Total Design Shop has created a strategic plan to obtain the tools and knowledge that will enable our customers to be more successful – online and off.

We have identified a number of areas where we can make improvements that will have an impact on your ability to work more proficiently and expect better results from your marketing efforts. Below is a list of target areas where we will focus our strategic efforts:

  • Continue to push our creative solutions to an award winning level
  • Remain highly agile and responsive with customers and their projects
  • Redesign the content management system for a better user experience
  • Evaluate additional modules to build
  • Integrate SEO, SEM and Social Media into the CMS
  • Deliver marketing case studies to generate new marketing ideas for customers
  • Deliver SEO tips to optimize content and navigation structure
  • Become more social ourselves through blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and other social outlets
  • Develop a team that will allow us to reach our objectives

Total Design Shop is strongly committed to growth and remains optimistic despite economic uncertainty. We want to thank you - our valued customers - for your continued support and allowing us to service your needs.

Changing of the guard

Tyler Whitely, Creative Director and Co-Founder, has had a calling to become a public servant in law enforcement for many years. His opportunity has arrived and he will be fulfilling his duties to protect and serve in Washington County starting September 26th. The process Tyler went through was long and cumbersome and that provided ample time to put resources in place so that Total Design Shop could continue to provide quality service and exceptional design to current and prospective clients. We have created business relationships with several creative individuals that will be able to support our graphic design needs going forward, which will also allow us to scale as we grow.

Todd Smith will remain as President and assume all project management responsibilities. Our primary focus remains on delivering exceptional service and solutions to help our customers reach their objectives. Internally, we will be re-aligning some of our responsibilities and most likely will be adding some new smiling faces to the team.

Get social with us

With social media consuming 1 of every 6 minutes spent online, social is a great place to stay in touch and find out what's happening. We know you are out there somewhere—get connected with us!

The survey is coming

We will be conducting a number of user survey’s to better understand how administrators are using our Content Management System and how the system can be improved. We ask that all administrators keep an eye out for the survey announcement—and we encourage you to give as much feedback as you can.
